Before you start
What you need.
FlameCut is a desktop app that leans on the cloud for the heavy listening and on your own machine for the rendering.
A Google or Microsoft account
You sign in with Google or Microsoft. There is no password to make up or remember.
An internet connection
Transcription and analysis run in the cloud. Your footage is deleted from our servers after processing.
A GPU helps
Rendering uses your NVIDIA, AMD, Intel or Apple GPU. Without one it falls back to the CPU, which is slower but works.
Footage from any phone
MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, AVI or M4V, straight off the phone. Export to MP4, MOV or MKV up to 4K.
After installing
Three steps to your first cut.
Open FlameCut and continue with Google or Microsoft. Use the same account on the website and in the app to access your credits.
Drop a video
Drag a recording from your phone into the window. FlameCut transcribes it and finds what to fix.
Review and export
Check every cut on the filmstrip, pick a shape for the feed, and render it on your GPU.
